RBL No More War

Quick and dirty swatch of Rescue Beauty Lounge No More War. It's a bit less green than it appears here. To me it looks exactly like a steamed artichoke (a favorite of mine)!

OPI Kabuki Queen & I Lily Love You

I wanted to post a quick manicure I did with OPI I Lily Love You. I wanted to make it similar to the bottle color so I started with two layers of You're Such a Kabuki Queen, a bright (but not neon) juicy pink.

Sorry about the blurriness. I think clicking to enlarge helps some. :/

What I really love about ILLY is all the square glitter!

And those iridescent, irregular flakes...

Isn't it pretty?

Here's a closeup of the glitter:

Until next time!

Nfu.Oh Jelly Syrup 42

A gorgeous, deep blood red jelly. This is four coats. The brush I received with this bottle is extremely wide, so application was difficult even if the formula was good and self-leveling.

Sorry about the pic quality. If you click to enlarge, I think it clears up a bit. Not sure why it's doing that.

Until next time!

Happy Fourth of July!

Here's what I did for the 4th of July (independence day for us in the states). I'm not hugely patriotic but I love opportunities for outlandish nail art! I tried to make each nail different but still fit with the general theme. Sorry my hands look so weird in this picture...they were impromptu pictures and my index fingers started chipping before I could take more. :( these were taken pre-cleanup.

Thanks for looking,

Pink Glitter Gradient!

Here's my latest mani, a deep pink to nude-pink gradient. I sponged OPI's Ali's Big Break over the tips, covered the whole thing with a coat of Teenage Dream, and used Konad to stamp accents on my ring finger and thumb.

I love how this came out! Bright, pretty, and fabulously sparkly.

At lunch yesterday I was reminded when I ordered this delicious desert at one of my favorite restaurants. This is "Lady in Red", a strawberry and guava delight.

Mmm, strawberry-guava cake! Words cannot describe this beauty.

Hope you enjoyed! Until next time!

Suzi Says Feng Shui, and a Franken

This is Suzi Says Feng Shui, a gorgeous blue with a rather silly name from OPI's Hong Kong collection. I only rarely wear blues, but I tried this on a whim and totally fell in love. I love its dusty quality and the formula was a dream. I apologize for the photo quality, my camera cord has disappeared, so this was taken with my phone.

The polish on my ring finger was my attempt to franken something like Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air so I wouldn't have to spend $18+ on the real thing. I made this with OPI Funny Bunny, ORLY Snowcone, and NYC Starry Silver Glitter (holo with blue and violet hexagonal glitter). It definitely isn't a dupe, but it's pretty nice!

Here's a bottle pic:

On a more personal note, I am very sorry for the long absence with no explanation. Things have been quite topsy-turvy for the past year, and I'm not even sure when (or if) this rollercoaster will end! I appreciate your patience and understanding, I really do. :)

Until next time!

Flying Dragon Konadicure

Just a quick post. This is the darker version of China Glaze Flying Dragon. It has neon pigments so it dries matte, but it is more of a dark purple than a bright neon.
